The designs must include zero emission bus infrastructure and any associated equipment such as substations. They must also include the necessary staff parking, engineering facilities, welfare facilities, bus parking and any other requirements that will be set out by the Combined Authority prior to the commencement of each design. There may be different requirements depending on the depot location, size and/or facilities available.

Some feasibility designs will be looking at layout and to help determine the maximum number of buses that can fit on the depot site, so prior knowledge of depot configuration and bus turning circles/parking ability would be required.

There will also need to be feasibility designs to RIBA 2 for any refurbishment requirements, including but not limited to zero emission bus infrastructure and any associated equipment such as substations. The requirements will be set out by the Combined Authority prior to the commencement of each design. There will need to be a draft and then a final version of each design to account for any client comments.

Finally, there may be a requirement to produce feasibility and/or refurbishment designs for other buildings related to bus franchising, including but not limited to; driver facilities, separate charging hubs, bus stations etc.
