Swimming Pool & Leisure Complex
Architect-led integrated design team competition for a new public swimming pool and leisure complex in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan.
The project responds to a recognised deficiency in swimming and sporting facilities across south Monaghan. The Council previously commissioned a feasibility study and strategic assessment confirming demand, noting there are no public swimming pools within a 20km catchment and existing regional facilities are oversubscribed. The architect-led IDT will develop the project from Stage (i) Preliminary Design through Stage (v) Handover & Final Account, including statutory approvals (FSC/DAC/Part 8), BIM delivery, and preparation of a detailed exemplar design and Employer’s Requirements to support a Design & Build works contract.
