Sports Hall with Underground Shelter, Zawiercie
Gmina Zawiercie in Poland is developing a new sports and entertainment hall, featuring an underground shelter adaptable as a parking garage. Deadline 04 Sep 2026
The Gmina Zawiercie in Poland is undertaking a significant project for the design and construction of a modern sports and entertainment hall. This multi-functional facility will also incorporate an underground shelter, designated "U2", which is designed to serve interchangeably as an underground parking garage. The comprehensive project is structured into three distinct stages. Stage I focuses on the primary construction of the hall building and the "U2" shelter, alongside extensive site works including the reconstruction of public road access, demolition of existing structures, creation of new access roads, four parking sectors, pavements, cycle and roller paths, and multi-functional public squares equipped with ramps for accessibility and terrain stairs. This initial stage also encompasses the installation of two accesses to the underground facility, dedicated coach stands, a bus stop, bicycle shelters, full technical infrastructure, and the development of a toboggan and ski hill. Subsequent stages, II and III, will further enhance the site with additional parking sectors, new access roads, a complex of tennis courts, and infrastructure providing access to a reserved area for future commercial development. The entire programme is expected to span 27 months.
