The Gmina Zawiercie is undertaking a significant investment project for the design and construction of a modern sports and entertainment hall in Zawiercie, Poland. This multi-stage development includes a unique underground shelter, designated "U2", which can also function as an underground car park. The first stage of the project involves the construction of the main hall, along with the redevelopment of public road access, demolition of an existing building, creation of access roads, parking sectors, pavements, cycle paths, multi-functional squares with ramps for disabled access, and various technical infrastructure connections. It also includes facilities for waste collection, coach parking, a bus stop, bicycle shelters, and a sledging/skiing hill. Subsequent stages will focus on additional parking sectors and an eastern access road, tennis courts, and access to a future commercial development area. The project aims to significantly upgrade the town's public and recreational infrastructure.
