Set within a wider sports campus in Châteauneuf-de-Galaure, the Piscine des Collines project calls for the comprehensive refurbishment and partial extension of an ageing public swimming facility. The scheme encompasses approximately 1.224 m² of usable space and includes the reorganisation of the main entrance, demolition of an existing snack building, and the creation of a new reception and relaxation area. While the swimming basin itself remains unchanged, the remainder of the building will undergo substantial upgrading to address functional inefficiencies, accessibility compliance, and poor energy performance. External works and landscape improvements are also integral to the brief. Driven by the municipality’s sustainability objectives, the project prioritises low-energy systems and environmental performance. The anticipated programme allows 15–18 months for design development and 18–21 months for construction, with completion targeted for April 2030.
