Kolitzheim Municipality is commissioning planning services for the construction of a new primary school with full-day care in Herlheim, Germany. The project will be built on a currently agricultural plot, for which a development plan is in preparation and expected to be finalised by December 2027. The project is divided into three construction phases, with planning services currently focusing on the first two phases. Phase 1 involves a building section housing full-day care, school administration, and one class stream, to be completed by December 2029. Phase 2, connected to Phase 1, will accommodate a second class stream. The timing for Phase 2's realisation is dependent on economic factors, and Phase 3 is not yet scheduled. The overall estimated cost for phases 1 and 2 is approximately 13.3 million euros gross, including planning, ancillary construction costs, and VAT, with funding sought from the Free State of Bavaria.
