Henrico County Public Schools is embarking on a significant project to replace Highland Springs Elementary School. The initiative requires comprehensive architectural and engineering services, encompassing the complete design phase, contract document preparation, and full contract administration throughout the construction period. The appointed firm will also be responsible for robust construction oversight, ensuring the project's successful completion and acceptance. All design work must strictly adhere to the latest Virginia State Department of Education guidelines, the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code, and the Henrico County Plan of Development review process, while also meeting current Americans with Disabilities Act standards. A key requirement for the new facility is achieving a minimum of LEED Silver certification, reflecting a commitment to sustainable building practices. Project administration duties include proposal evaluation, negotiations, problem resolution, team building, reporting, logs, and critical path method scheduling analysis, guaranteeing efficient project delivery.
