Haut Limousin Hospital Extension, Limoges
The Hôpital Intercommunal du Haut Limousin in France is expanding its EHPAD facilities with a new 48-bed extension for elderly care. Deadline 12 Oct 2026
The Hôpital Intercommunal du Haut Limousin in France is undertaking a significant expansion project for its existing EHPAD (Establishment for Accommodating Dependent Elderly People) facilities. This initiative involves the construction of a new 48-bed extension, aiming to enhance the capacity and quality of care for dependent elderly residents. The project is being managed through a restricted architectural competition, where participants will be invited to submit preliminary sketch designs. The selected architectural team will then be awarded a contract without further prior publication or competition. The new build extension is planned to encompass approximately 3,355 square metres of net usable area. The estimated budget allocated specifically for the construction works is €8.6 million (excluding VAT). The overall duration for the successful architect's contract, covering both studies and the construction phase, is projected to be 41 months, followed by a 12-month period for the defects liability guarantee. This expansion reflects a commitment to modernising and increasing the region's elderly care provisions.
