This project involves the architectural design for a new public indoor swimming pool (Hallenbad) and student accommodation in the Höttinger Au area of Innsbruck, Austria. Innsbrucker Kommunalbetriebe Aktiengesellschaft is seeking innovative and sustainable design proposals through an open architectural competition. The scope includes comprehensive architectural planning for both facilities, aiming to integrate them effectively within the urban fabric while meeting functional, economic, energy efficiency, and sustainability criteria. The competition will evaluate proposals based on urban planning, architectural, and atmospheric qualities, as well as functional, economic, and energy efficiency/sustainability aspects, each weighted equally at 25%. The winning designs will lead to potential service contracts, with prizes awarded for the top three entries. This development is crucial for enhancing community amenities and providing much-needed student housing in the region.
