Energy Refurbishment, Regenbogen Kindergarten, Thalfang
Thalfang, Germany: The Regenbogen Kindergarten is set for a comprehensive energy-efficient refurbishment, enhancing its building envelope and modernising heating systems. Deadline 07 Sep 2026
The Zweckverband der 12 Gemeinden des ehemaligen Amtes Tronecken is undertaking a comprehensive energy-efficient refurbishment of the Regenbogen Kindergarten in Thalfang, Germany. The project aims to achieve an Efficiency House 70 standard through significant improvements to the building's thermal envelope and the modernisation of its heating systems. Key measures include installing 18cm facade insulation, replacing all windows with triple-glazed units, insulating the roof and flat roof, and providing internal floor slab insulation. The existing heating system will be entirely replaced with a heat pump powered by geothermal probes, designed for both heating and future cooling. A modern, intelligently controlled underfloor heating system will be installed, necessitating the removal of existing screed and the implementation of well-insulated floor structures. Additionally, a photovoltaic system will be integrated to cover a substantial portion of the building's electricity demand. The project is supported by an approved EFRE grant, requiring at least 70% of the costs to be allocated to building-side energy refurbishment measures. This tender specifically seeks architectural services for building planning across all nine service phases.
