Coláiste Treasa
An open architectural services tender for additional educational accommodation at Coláiste Treasa, Kanturk, led by Cork ETB and funded by the Department of Education.
The project involves the design and delivery of additional educational accommodation at Coláiste Treasa, a post-primary school in Kanturk, under the remit of Cork Education and Training Board. The scope includes seven new general classrooms, specialist rooms (such as art, music, and multimedia), and support spaces including project stores, sanitary facilities, and a Special Educational Needs (SEN) base. The design brief mandates that the new accommodation be primarily standalone, with provisions for future linkage to the existing school, except in the case of SEN spaces which must be directly connected. The programme will be carried out over an expected duration of 48 months and will follow the Department of Education and Skills (DoES) standard procedures, including the full suite of project stages (1–5) and specialist surveys. Temporary accommodation and site constraints will be carefully managed to maintain school operation throughout construction.
