This project will implement the approved Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for reinstatement and widening of the Grade B1 listed Town Gate Screen at Castlewellan Forest Park, within the Castlewellan Conservation Area. The eastern pier collapsed following a vehicle collision in December 2022, and the Council has explored alternative vehicle access routes but concluded widening the gate is necessary to accommodate larger vehicles. The appointed Integrated Consultant Team (ICT) is required to provide full professional services from RIBA Stage 4 through to Stage 7, including detailed design, discharge of planning conditions, tender documentation, contractor procurement, site supervision, NEC4 contract administration, and delivery through completion and defects.
