This competition seeks a multidisciplinary architectural team to deliver urban design and subdivision studies, alongside construction follow-up, for a coastal resort at Aghroud, within the Agadir Ida Outanane prefecture. The site spans a large coastal territory positioned between mountainous terrain and the Atlantic shoreline, requiring a coordinated approach to infrastructure, tourism programming and landscape integration. The brief challenges competitors to negotiate a central tension: whether to retain and enhance an existing seafront village or replace it with a new programme, proposing two alternative development strategies. The project tests how a new tourism destination can balance environmental sensitivity, coastal identity and economic activation while structuring a coherent masterplan for hospitality, leisure and public realm.
