Město Moravské Budějovice in Czechia has launched a single-stage open architectural design competition for the comprehensive reconstruction of its existing municipal swimming pool complex. The competition seeks innovative architectural proposals to revitalise the facility, focusing on both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The project aims to deliver a modernised swimming pool area, enhancing public amenities and promoting community well-being. The competition encourages a broad range of participants, including smaller firms, by setting accessible entry conditions and fostering the development of architectural expertise. A key emphasis is placed on environmentally responsible design practices throughout the project's planning and execution. The jury's decision will be binding, and a total of 1,200,000 CZK is allocated for prizes and rewards, with the first-place winner potentially securing the subsequent service contract for the project's implementation.
