Meadowlark Building Design, Virginia
Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority appoints a design team to create a new accessory building at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, Virginia, integrating with the existing atrium architecture. Deadline 30 Oct 2026
NOVA Parks is seeking a design team, comprising an architect and a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineer, for the architectural planning and design of a new 400 square foot accessory building at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. The project includes seamless connections to the existing Atrium's electrical and plumbing systems, along with all necessary demolition and patching work. The design team is also responsible for final building placement, ADA connections, walkways, and utility connections, ensuring the total project disturbance remains under 2500 square feet to avoid extensive site plan review. Working with a site survey provided by a separate civil engineer, the team will develop a comprehensive set of architectural and MEP plans suitable for obtaining all required Fairfax County building and mechanical permits. NOVA Parks will manage the subsequent bidding process and provide Division 01 specifications, with the design team supplying all other necessary specifications, potentially integrated into the project drawings due to the small scale of the endeavour.
