The MarienBad GmbH plans a comprehensive renovation and modernisation of the "MarienBad" leisure pool in Bad Marienberg, Germany. This tender is for architectural services (phases 5-9 of HOAI) for the building and interior design. The facility, which opened in 1995, serves approximately 20,000 residents and requires extensive energy-efficient upgrades, particularly for its technical building equipment, pool technology, building envelope, and key interior areas. The project also aims to improve operational processes, enhance attractiveness, and optimise accessibility, ensuring the MarienBad becomes a barrier-free meeting place for all age groups and abilities. The planning includes the renovation and reorganisation of the foyer, public sanitary facilities, accessible changing and shower areas, massage area, administration rooms, gastronomy, and interfaces with renewed technical building services. The design must consider the specific requirements of a public indoor swimming pool, including high humidity, chlorine exposure, intensive cleaning, high visitor frequency, and long-term use, adhering to hygiene, slip resistance, corrosion protection, acoustics, and operational safety standards. Existing plans from phases 1-4 are available and need to be reviewed and developed further.
