Kyllberg School Extension, Köllerbach
Püttlingen, Germany, is undertaking a significant project to expand and modernise Kyllberg Elementary School to meet the growing demand for full-day childcare services. Deadline 16 Oct 2026
The City of Püttlingen is commissioning comprehensive architectural services for the renovation and extension of Kyllberg Elementary School in Köllerbach. This initiative is driven by the upcoming legal entitlement to full-day childcare from 2029 and current student enrolment projections. The project encompasses two main construction phases: a substantial new dining hall extension (Phase 1) and extensive remodelling within the existing school building (Phase 2). The scope of work for architects includes planning phases 2-9 of the HOAI (German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers). The estimated net costs for construction phases 1 and 2, covering cost groups 300, 400, 500, and 600, are approximately 700,000 EUR and 400,000 EUR respectively. The scheme is anticipated to benefit from public funding, with the client reserving the right to commission individual service phases progressively rather than all at once.
