Ecological Planning Support, Datteln
Ecological planning support is required for nature conservation and species protection measures within the newPark Datteln industrial area in Datteln, Germany. Deadline 02 Oct 2026
NRW.URBAN is developing the newPark industrial area in Datteln, Germany, designated for large-scale industrial and commercial projects with significant economic importance for North Rhine-Westphalia. The first construction phase is currently underway, with a valid development plan in place. This project requires comprehensive ecological planning support for the open spaces, integrating essential compensation, Continuous Ecological Functionality (CEF), species protection, and damage mitigation measures. This includes planning for both internal areas within the development plan and external areas immediately surrounding the site, all based on expert reports such as species protection assessments and environmental impact studies. The current focus is on continuing the open space planning for specific sections of the first construction phase, primarily for the implementation of CEF, species protection, compensation, and damage mitigation measures. The tender seeks expert ecological guidance for the technical planning of these open spaces, with a particular emphasis on species protection and natural resource management. Services will cover preparatory work, detailed design (LPH 5-6), tender preparation, coordination with relevant authorities, and participation in planning meetings, with a duration of approximately four months, concluding by early 2027.
