e-netz New Admin Building Design, Darmstadt
e-netz Südhessen AG is commissioning architectural services for a new administration building in Darmstadt, Germany, including outdoor area design and integration with a heritage-listed workshop. This project focuses on creating a modern, accessible facility while respecting the historical context of the site. Deadline 01 Oct 2026
The project involves the construction of a new administration building for e-netz Südhessen AG at Dornheimer Weg 24, situated behind Darmstadt's main railway station. The site is centrally located and offers excellent transport links. The new development will incorporate outdoor parking spaces within the e-netz Südhessen AG premises, alongside dedicated visitor parking areas and a waiting zone for arriving lorries. A significant design challenge is the seamless integration of a heritage-listed transformer workshop, dating from 1926, which is adjacent to the proposed new building. The new structure will feature a forecourt leading to the e-netz Südhessen AG site, with a main entrance designed to facilitate access for both external visitors and e-netz employees. Crucially, the design must ensure that unauthorised third parties are prevented from accessing the main company premises. The scope of services includes comprehensive architectural and outdoor area planning.
