BG Klinik Tübingen Fire Safety Renovation, Tübingen
BG Kliniken Ludwigshafen und Tübingen gGmbH is undertaking a significant fire safety renovation project at BG Klinik Tübingen, Germany, requiring comprehensive general planning. Deadline 02 Oct 2026
The project involves comprehensive general planning services, encompassing architectural, interior design, and technical equipment planning (electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sanitary systems), to rectify identified fire safety deficiencies across the BG Klinik Tübingen campus in Germany. This extensive campus features a diverse array of interconnected and freestanding buildings, each with distinct construction methods and ages. Following a detailed fire safety analysis, specific shortcomings were identified at the component and individual building levels. The scope of work focuses on the fire safety renovation of building sections 1-3, 5-8, and houses 103 & 105, representing a substantial gross floor area of approximately 65,000 m². The overall project is divided into several sub-measures, with one already successfully implemented. Planning services will be procured in a phased approach, initially covering design stages 1-3, with the option to extend to stages 5-8. A key challenge is the execution of this complex renovation while maintaining full hospital operations, demanding meticulous planning and coordination to ensure minimal disruption to patient care and staff activities.
