Východoslovenské Museum Permanent Exhibition Design, Košice
This competition seeks innovative design proposals for a new permanent exhibition of historic interiors at the Východoslovenské múzeum in Košice, Slovakia.
The project involves the creation of a new permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of domestic interiors and furniture in Eastern Slovakia from 1750–1920. Located within the historic Katova Bašta (Executioner’s Bastion) at the Východoslovenské múzeum, the exhibition will showcase noble and bourgeois interiors in styles such as Classicism, Empire, Biedermeier, Historicism, and Secession. The aim is to combine authentic period furniture with modern museological display techniques, including protective vitrines, audiovisual elements, and barrier-free accessibility, ensuring an engaging visitor experience for both local and international audiences.
