Tingbjerg Sports and Cultural Hall, Copenhagen
This architectural competition seeks design teams for a new sports and cultural hall to be part of the existing Tingbjerg Idrætspark in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Set within the green expanse of Tingbjerg Sports Park in northwest Copenhagen, the Tingbjerg Sports and Cultural Hall will create an inclusive meeting place for sport, movement, and community. Designed as an architectural landmark, the 12k m² facility combines a main arena with 2k seats, children’s motor skills hall, movement studios, gym, café with production kitchen, and club spaces, complemented by landscaped outdoor areas (190 spaces and a 6k m² municipal car parking). The project aims to achieve sustainability certification, showcasing design excellence. The competition seeks an ambitious total consultant team to realise this new civic destination, an inspiring hub for sport, culture, and social life that strengthens connections across Tingbjerg and the wider city.
