Templemore Leisure Centre
Derry City and Strabane District Council invites tenderers to provide the services for an Integrated Consultancy Team to design and manage the construction of a new Leisure Centre project and associated site works, as part of the Redevelopment of Templemore Sports Complex in Derry.
The project will replace the time-expired Templemore and Riversdale facilities with new facilities that will enable enhanced participation opportunities and programmes to be delivered so as to improve the health and wellbeing of the community. In doing so, the project will deliver facilities that are innovatively designed and managed so as to be both affordable and revenue sustainable. It is envisaged that the project will become a ‘must visit’ attraction that drives footfall to the city and district and attract visitors from outside of the city region.
The facilities will include
- An accessible 50m 8-Lane Main Pool.
- Separate Leisure / Teaching Pool and Toddler Pool.
- Water Recreation including family flumes, junior splash & toddler play areas.
- Village-style Wet Changing areas & Poolside Sauna & Steam.
- Accessible Café (overlooking pools).
- Pool Competition Spectator Seating.
- Luxurious Wellness Spa.
- 8-court Sports Hall (International Standard Netball & Basketball).
- Large Flexible Multi-Use Studios.
- Soft Play / Party area / Activity Room.
- Squash Courts.
- Dedicated Spin Studio.
- A State-Of-The-Art Fitness Suite.
- Consultation & Referral Rooms.
- Village-style Dry Changing areas.
