Primary School Extension and Energy Retrofit, Fiè allo Sciliar
Two-stage open design competition to extend and energetically renovate a primary school in Fiè allo Sciliar, Italy.
The municipality of Fiè allo Sciliar seeks proposals to enlarge the existing primary school and carry out an energy refurbishment, addressing increased pupil numbers and modern pedagogical needs within a tight, alpine village context. The brief calls for an architectural concept responding to the programme tables and planning parameters, with attention to sustainability, functionality and phased delivery. Subsequent stages foresee further design development and compliance with the client’s information requirements.
