Pierre Toinot Aquatic Centre, Sens
The Grand Sénonais agglomeration is seeking a design team for the renovation of the existing Pierre Toinot aquatic centre in Sens, France.
The Grand Sénonais agglomeration is seeking a full design team for the technical and functional renovation of the existing Pierre Toinot aquatic centre in Sens. The brief responds to the closure of the Tournesol pool and the need to modernise an ageing complex last substantially upgraded in 1996–97. The programme covers refurbishment of the covered pool halls, changing and reception areas, roofs, façades, technical rooms, water and air treatment systems, external pool surrounds and landscape areas, together with a small extension for new staff changing rooms. Optional elements include a new outdoor splash-play area and the conversion of the existing 33m outdoor pool into a outdoor heated swimming pool. The programme also requires dynamic thermal and energy simulation, improved accessibility, stronger operational efficiency, and a more attractive public offer for schools, clubs, families and general users.
