The Département du Morbihan has launched a design competition for the extension and refurbishment of Collège Goh Lanno in Pluvigner, Brittany. Originally built in 1979, the school has expanded incrementally and now relies partly on temporary modular buildings to accommodate growing enrolment. The project proposes approximately 2k m² of new high thermal performance and airtightness design for teaching accommodations, alongside the refurbishment of around 750 m² of existing facilities and the reorganisation of 2.4k m² of external courtyards and circulation spaces. Set within a semi-rural campus, the proposal must improve functionality, accessibility and environmental performance, while addressing technical constraints including asbestos in the existing building and local ground conditions. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2028, following design development from late 2026, with a projected programme of approximately 30 months.

All selected teams will receive € 21.5k for a compliant submission (non-compliant entries may receive reduced compensation).
