Newtownbutler Peace Development
A transformative, inclusive development on a former PSNI site in Newtownbutler, the project aims to foster sustainable community cohesion under the PEACE PLUS programme.
The Newtownbutler Peace Development project seeks to deliver a new, iconic and inclusive facility on the site of the former PSNI station at High Street, Newtownbutler. The development, led by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council in partnership with Cavan and Monaghan County Councils, will provide co-designed community infrastructure, outdoor spaces, and a “men’s shed”, promoting social engagement between communities.
The approved planning application (Ref: LA10/2024/0193/F) relates to the building and entranceway and is currently capped at £1,000,000. However, the total scope of the project—defined in this tender—extends to further infrastructure and landscape works, potentially subject to revised statutory approvals and surveys.
The selected Integrated Consultant Team (ICT) will oversee delivery across RIBA stages 2–7, manage the NEC4 Option B construction contract, and ensure BREEAM ‘Excellent’ sustainability performance across the project.
