New Ville-Hôpital extension, Brignoles
A restricted design competition to design the new Ville-Hôpital in Brignoles, France.
A design team is sought to the new Ville-Hôpital project at Hôpital Jean Marcel, the municipality of Brignoles has launched an architectural competition in which three multidisciplinary teams will be pre-selected, based on experience, to subsequently submit a design proposal. The project proposes a new hospital building intended to strengthen the relationship between community healthcare and acute hospital services, prioritising clear patient flows, adaptability, and high environmental performance within a constrained, fully operational site. Conceived as a major extension to the existing campus, the construction will deliver a new public entrance, outpatient consultation and diagnostic suites, minor surgery and day hospital facilities, ambulatory surgery, inpatient wards, laboratories, and a rooftop helipad. Two optional future phases include an underground car park and additional clinical and administrative floors.
