Mujassam Watan Urban Sculpture Challenge
International competition for the creation of outstanding urban sculptures in Saudi Arabia.
The Mujassam Watan Urban Sculpture Challenge is an international architectural and artistic competition that invites designers to create iconic urban sculptures. Organised by Buildner in collaboration with the Mujassam Watan Initiative, the competition aims to celebrate Saudi Arabia’s cultural identity and its Vision 2030 transformation goals. Participants are to propose designs for large-scale sculptures to be placed at one of two distinct sites in the Eastern Province: Abu Hadriyah Road (a key highway linking the Kingdom to neighbouring Gulf countries) or the Tharwa Sea Front in Al-Khobar (an urban waterfront location). The sculptures are intended to symbolise the Kingdom's progress, heritage, and aspirations through innovative, environmentally conscious, and interactive public art.
