MEXTRÓPOLI 2025 Pavillion, Mexico City
Development of a temporary pavilion in Mexico City.
This international competition calls for the design and construction of a temporary pavilion to be installed in the Historic Centre of Mexico City during the MEXTRÓPOLI Architecture and City Festival 2025. The pavilion should serve as a dynamic, recyclable or reusable structure that provokes public interaction and serves as a focal point for architectural discourse during the event.

Consultant Team
Teams can consist of professionals or students from any discipline. It is suggested that at least one team member be an architect.
Submission Criteria
1st Prize: $100,000 MXN + construction of the pavilion + 2 passes to MEXTRÓPOLI + 10 Arquine books
2nd Prize: $50,000 MXN + 2 passes + 10 Arquine books
3rd Prize: $25,000 MXN + 2 passes + 10 Arquine books
Honourable Mentions: May be awarded at the jury’s discretion, no monetary reward
Competition Deliverables
– A single digital board (90 cm x 60 cm, 72 DPI, JPG, max 5MB) containing:
– Overall plan, floor plans, sections (with readable scales)
– Visualisations (diagrams, collages, sketches, etc.)
– Key construction details
– Descriptive text (max 250 words, in English or Spanish) The submission must use the assigned user code and respect strict anonymity.
Submission Fee: $1,5k MXN per team
After payment, participants must email the payment receipt to concurso@arquine.com. In return, they will receive a registration code to access the competition system and submit their proposal.
