Irish Equine Centre
An open two-stage architectural design competition for a new veterinary laboratory and necropsy facility at the Irish Equine Centre, County Kildare.
This project involves a major redevelopment of the Irish Equine Centre to enhance its diagnostic, research, and teaching capabilities. It includes the construction of a new 3-storey laboratory building (1,690 m²), a separate necropsy facility (400 m²), site infrastructure upgrades (roads, car parking, services), and retention/refurbishment of the existing microbiology building. The development is strategically important for the equine industry in Ireland, aiming to meet modern biosafety standards and provide world-class lab environments for equine health monitoring and research.
