Elmfield Road
A public realm-led regeneration scheme to transform Elmfield Road, Bromley South, into a high-quality, pedestrian-prioritised business and civic environment.
The London Borough of Bromley seeks a multi-disciplinary design team (MDT) to design and deliver public realm enhancements along Elmfield Road in Bromley South, an area identified in the Bromley Growth Plan 2024–27 and Employment Land and Space Study (2024) as the borough’s prime commercial district. The project will improve the streetscape, promote sustainable transport, introduce urban greening, and strengthen the area’s image as the borough’s business heart.
The MDT will develop the design through RIBA Stages 1–4, prepare an Employer’s Requirements package, and provide client-side advisory and monitoring services during construction (RIBA Stages 5–7). Deliverables include design coordination, branding, stakeholder consultation, cost planning, and post-occupancy evaluation.
The project forms part of the wider Bromley South regeneration programme, designed to attract inward investment, improve connectivity, and deliver a coherent urban environment that complements the High Street and Bromley South Station.
