Albertville’s Dôme Theatre, a landmark cultural venue originally developed as part of the city’s Olympic-era legacy, is now the subject of a major public refurbishment programme commissioned by the Arlysère Agglomeration Authority. The project seeks a multidisciplinary architectural and engineering design team to deliver a full design and site supervision appointment for the comprehensive renovation of the main performance auditorium and its associated public spaces. With an estimated construction budget of €3.85 million, the intervention will modernise the building’s internal layout, enhance audience comfort, and ensure full compliance with contemporary safety and accessibility standards.

The scope includes significant upgrades to building services (particularly heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) alongside improvements to fire safety systems, smoke extraction strategy, and the overall technical performance of this public venue. The works will also address thermal and energy efficiency targets, with the client aiming for substantial reductions in operational consumption. Located at 135 Place de l’Europe in Albertville, the renovation positions the Dôme Theatre as a renewed civic anchor, supporting the cultural life of the region through a carefully phased and technically ambitious transformation of an existing architectural asset.
