Bloomfield Central Housing
Blackpool Council seeks design consultants for a flagship 40-home affordable housing scheme at Bloomfield Central, driving regeneration of the Foxhall Village area.
Commissioned by Blackpool Council and supported by Blackpool Housing Company and Blackpool Coastal Housing, the project aims to deliver around 40 new homes for affordable and social rent, forming a key element of the wider Blackpool Central Housing Regeneration Area.
The development will build upon completed phases of the Foxhall Village project, adjacent to a forthcoming community sports facility by the Blackpool FC Community Trust (due on site in 2025). The scheme’s design must emphasise placemaking, sustainability, and community integration, setting a benchmark for future regeneration phases.
The commission covers RIBA Stages 2–3 and selected Stage 4 (technical preparation) to support procurement for construction, expected to follow the design phase’s completion.
