The ATX Design of the Year 2025 is an international architectural ideas competition featuring two categories: Design for Change, which invites visionary architectural solutions for refugees of war, and Academic Excellence, showcasing outstanding academic projects from architecture students and recent graduates. The competition seeks to harness architectural creativity to generate real-world solutions to global challenges, with a strong emphasis on humanitarian values, sustainability, and visionary thinking.

Participants may register individually or in teams of up to four members.
In the Academic category, entrants must be architecture students or recent graduates.
No specific roles such as structural engineers or sustainability consultants are mandated.

Submission Criteria
Winner: USD 600, 1st Runner-up: USD 200, 2nd Runner-up: USD 100
20 Honorable Mentions: USD 50 credit (towards future registrations)
Competition Deliverables
Each team must submit:
– One A1 landscape-format sheet (300 ppi, max. 20 MB PDF)
– Clearly include the Unique Registration Code (URC) at the top right
– No identifying text (e.g., names, schools, or organisations)
– The PDF must be emailed to: submissions.architerrax@gmail.com
– File must be named with the URC
Deliverables should include:
– Plans, sections, renders, diagrams, and any visuals explaining the concept
– Clear presentation and storytelling to communicate technical and narrative aspects
