The Universitätsklinikum Bonn AöR is undertaking the second construction phase of its new central clinic, which involves replacing the existing Operative Centre (Building B 22). This new central building will house operative departments, a central operating theatre, intensive care, general nursing, outpatient clinics, and radiology facilities. The planned new build will be developed in conjunction with the new Heart Centre (Building B 25), which forms the first phase of the Central Clinic, and will be erected on the site of the current Medical Clinic (Building B 26) after its demolition. The entire construction project will utilise the Building Information Modelling (BIM) planning method, with specific requirements and services integrated into the planning disciplines. The client previously engaged BIM consultants to define BIM objectives and parameters for the planner tenders and project preparation. This tender seeks further BIM consulting services, covering design phases 3 (approval-ready planning), 5 (implementation planning and tender preparation), and 8 (construction supervision and handover of building information for operation).
