New Rescue Centre, Waldsee
Germany's Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis is creating a combined rescue centre in Waldsee, delivering a modern fire station and ambulance service. Deadline 15 Oct 2026
The Verbandsgemeinde Rheinauen plans to construct a new combined rescue centre in Waldsee, Germany, addressing the pressing need for modern emergency facilities. The existing fire station, located in the town centre, no longer meets contemporary operational and safety standards due to limited spatial capacity, outdated technical equipment, and inadequate traffic access for rapid deployment. This project will integrate a new fire station with premises for the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis ambulance service, forming a central "Rettungszentrum." The comprehensive general planning services for this new build are to be delivered in stages, covering architectural, structural, and technical equipment planning (HOAI phases 1-4) and partial phase 9. The appointed general planner will be responsible for reviewing and validating existing studies, developing planning bases, creating the functional specification for the subsequent total contractor procurement, estimating the total contract value, and providing expert support during the total contractor selection process. Furthermore, the role involves independent control of the construction supervision during the building phase to safeguard the client's interests. The ultimate goal is to achieve an economical, technically advanced, and timely new facility that is both functionally efficient and aesthetically compelling, enhancing emergency response capabilities for the region.
