Espaces urbains de la place Albani, Odense
La municipalité d'Odense au Danemark redynamise les espaces urbains centraux autour de la place Albani et de la place Saint-Canut, créant ainsi des espaces publics cohérents et attrayants. Date limite : 21 septembre 2026
The "Albani Torv og de forbundne byrum" project is a central component of Odense Kommune's broader "Fra Gade til By" urban development initiative in Denmark. This extensive undertaking involves the redesign and revitalisation of key public spaces, including Albani Square, St. Knud's Square, Flakhaven, and Klingenberg, culminating in the establishment of the Historic Staircase. The primary objective is to forge interconnected, appealing, and resilient urban areas that boast high quality for recreation and movement, while honouring the city centre's rich historical and architectural character. With reduced traffic access, the project aims to foster a more vibrant city life. It will enhance connections between the Cathedral, City Hall, Odense River, and Nonnebakken, elevating the unique qualities of Odense. Key aspects include creating a pedestrian-friendly, green transformation of St. Knud's Square with a historical staircase leading to Eventyrhaven, strengthening the link from Eventyrhaven to Albani Square, and commemorating the original St. Albani Church and the killing of King Knud. The plan also involves removing traffic-related elements by levelling surfaces, removing kerbstones, and re-laying pavements, with a strong emphasis on reusing existing fine granite materials.
