The City of Suwanee is undertaking a significant renovation project to convert an existing house into a modern creative arts facility. This ambitious programme will introduce a variety of specialised spaces, including a lobby and display area, a large, light-filled creative arts classroom suitable for painting and workshops, a flexible fused glass studio and community multipurpose room, and a digital media room equipped for green screen, video recording, and photography. Additionally, an acoustically treated sound recording room and an office nook will be incorporated. The extensive interior renovation work encompasses selective demolition, structural rehabilitation, new partition walls, two restrooms, new commercial-grade flooring, fresh paint, energy-efficient LED lighting, updated plumbing, a new HVAC system, and an upgraded electrical system. Acoustic wall treatment will be applied in the sound recording room, and a new double-door entry with a steel frame and wood slat screen facade will enhance the eastern elevation. All work must comply with current building codes and ADA requirements, including a smoke detection system. Exterior improvements include a new roof, siding replacement, and general carpentry to revitalise the building's appearance and functionality.
