Studierendenwerk Rostock-Wismar is seeking comprehensive general planning services for the construction of two eight-storey extensions to existing student housing buildings at Max-Planck-Straße 1 and 2 in Rostock, Germany. These new additions will significantly increase the available student accommodation, providing approximately 95 new units within shared living arrangements. The project requires seamless functional, aesthetic, and technical integration with the current residential structures. This initiative is supported by grant funding. The scope of work encompasses integral planning and coordination across various service phases as defined by HOAI 2021, covering architectural design for buildings and interiors, structural engineering, technical building equipment (including wastewater, water, gas, heating, ventilation, power, and telecommunications), outdoor facilities, building physics (thermal insulation, energy balance, sound insulation), and fire protection planning. Crucially, the initial planning phases (up to LP4, partially LP5) and the necessary building permits are already secured, meaning the appointed general planner will build upon existing groundwork. The project is structured with staggered completion dates, with House 1 expected to complete LP8 by November 2028 and House 2 by March 2029.
