The City of Orange's Public Works Department is progressing with the Santiago Creek Multipurpose Trail Extension Project, seeking comprehensive consultant services. This initiative focuses on extending the existing trail, a vital piece of local infrastructure, to enhance connectivity and public access within Orange County. The project's extensive scope includes the preparation of all necessary National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation, supported by various technical studies, hydraulic and geotechnical analyses. Key engineering components involve right-of-way engineering, detailed field surveys, and the development of final engineering designs for the trail's alignment. Additionally, the project requires specialised landscape and irrigation design, alongside the structural design for two separate prefabricated pedestrian and bicycle bridges, ensuring their integration into the natural environment and adherence to safety standards. This project will significantly improve outdoor recreational opportunities and sustainable transport options for the community.
