The City of Urbandale is seeking a consultant to provide comprehensive professional services for the conceptual layout plans of two park projects: WCRP and Highland Meadows Park, located in Polk County. The selected consultant will be responsible for a range of tasks, including an existing conditions review, which involves analysing master plans, conducting site visits, evaluating access, topography, utilities, and natural features, and completing topographic surveys. A significant component of the project is public engagement, for which the consultant must propose an approach to gather meaningful input through public meetings, stakeholder meetings, online tools, and coordination with city staff and commissions. Finally, the consultant will prepare conceptual layout plan alternatives and a preferred concept for each park, detailing proposed amenities, internal circulation, parking, trail connections, open spaces, grading, sustainability opportunities, and potential future expansion areas, supported by illustrative graphics.
