Bruxelles Environnement is seeking a contractor to undertake the comprehensive transport noise cadastre and mapping for the Brussels-Capital Region and its 19 constituent municipalities. This significant project, spanning 22 months, will focus on the reference year 2026 and encompass noise mapping for various transport modes, including rail, tram, metro, and road networks. A key component involves calculating multi-exposure levels, for which internally produced aircraft noise maps will be provided by Bruxelles Environnement to the selected contractor. The initiative aims to ensure compliance with environmental directives, enhance urban planning strategies, and mitigate the impact of noise pollution across the region, contributing to a healthier urban environment for residents.
