New Rescue Centre, Waldsee
Germany's Rheinauen municipality develops a new rescue centre in Waldsee, consolidating modern fire station facilities with emergency services. Deadline 06 Oct 2026
The Rheinauen municipality is commissioning general planning services for a new rescue centre in Waldsee, Germany. The current fire station, located in Ludwigstraße, no longer meets modern operational and safety standards due to limited space, inadequate technical equipment, and poor traffic access for rapid deployment. Simultaneously, the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis emergency services also require new premises, necessitating a combined new build that integrates both functions into a central rescue facility. Following preliminary investigations and a feasibility study for the project's object planning, the client intends to deliver the new rescue centre via a total contractor model. This tender focuses on securing comprehensive general planning services, encompassing design phases 1, 2, 3, 4, and elements of phase 9 (HOAI). Key responsibilities include evaluating existing studies, developing planning bases, preparing functional specifications for the total contractor, estimating the construction value, supporting the procurement process, and providing independent oversight of the construction supervision to safeguard the client’s interests. The overall objective is to achieve an economical, high-quality, and timely new building that is both functionally efficient and aesthetically compelling.
