The Military Property Agency is commissioning comprehensive multi-discipline design and cost-estimation documentation, alongside author's supervision, for the construction of an 80-bed dormitory for military personnel in Świdwin, Poland. The project includes all necessary technical infrastructure and site landscaping on land plot no. 3/211. The selection process is a negotiated procedure, allowing for the optimisation of design and organisational solutions due to complex investment conditions and the need to adapt readily available design services to specific requirements. Key considerations include selecting and optimising construction technologies, assessing prefabrication feasibility, determining BIM methodology usage, addressing site constraints near a military airport such as acoustic climate and height restrictions, and exploring variants for heat sources, ventilation, rainwater retention, electromobility, and other eco-friendly solutions. The programme will also focus on integrating the design schedule with administrative decisions, approvals, and potential contract completion after the concept stage, alongside a critical need to optimise construction costs, delivery time, durability, and operational expenses for the facility.
