Volhynia Massacre Victims Memorial Museum, Chelm
Open competition for the design of multiple new buildings in the Polish city of Chelm - museums, admin, café, hotel, conference centre - including the retrofit and adaptation of some existing buildings on the site.
This project involves developing comprehensive design documentation for a new cultural complex that will house the Museum of the Victims of the Volhynian Massacre and the Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, in memory of President Lech Kaczyński. Commissioned by the City of Chełm, the project includes masterplanning, architectural design, cost estimations, coordination with authorities for permits, and site adaptation planning. The development will span several hectares and include multiple buildings (administration, museum, conference centre, hotel, and auxiliary functions), memorial areas, internal infrastructure, and green space.
