Trinity College Arts Building
Trinity College Dublin seeks an architect-led design team to retrofit and modernise the Arts Building for energy efficiency and pedagogical improvement.
Trinity College Dublin intends to appoint an architect-led Integrated Design Team (IDT) to deliver a significant programme of works to the existing Arts Building. The project comprises a deep energy retrofit to reduce carbon emissions, alongside comprehensive internal modernisation to improve environmental quality, accessibility, and functionality for contemporary university use. The procurement is under a restricted procedure, with longlisting and shortlisting stages, culminating in a second-stage competition for shortlisted teams. The project is anticipated to begin in January 2026 and run for a four-year duration.

Scored Elements:
QC1 – Relevant Services Experience (max 100 marks): Three projects evaluated against relevance, complexity, scale, sustainability, and innovation.
QC2 – Key Staff Experience (max 100 marks): Evaluation of three staff CVs with respect to relevant project experience and roles.
Threshold pass marks apply:
Minimum 60% in each of QC1 and QC2, and
Minimum combined score of 140/200 to be considered
