Small Project Big Impact, International Competition
Open international competition seeking small-scale, buildable interventions that test how limited resources can address overlooked social, humanitarian and environmental needs worldwide.
This international ideas competition invites proposals for small-scale projects capable of being delivered within a published budget ceiling of US$50,000. Entries may address health, education or support facilities, mobile or modular structures, wildlife-related infrastructure, or interventions that improve safety, dignity and wellbeing. Projects may be located anywhere globally, provided they demonstrate a clear understanding of local context and need.
Rather than focusing on scale, the brief tests how architecture and design can create measurable impact through carefully targeted interventions. The challenge asks teams to negotiate limited resources against social, humanitarian or ecological need, developing proposals that translate a clearly defined problem into a practical and deliverable spatial response. Sustainability, resilience, accessibility and long-term viability form part of the published evaluation framework.
