School Community Restaurant Redevelopment, Saint-Jory
To restructure and extend the central kitchen and school restaurant facilities, a design competition was commissioned by the city of Saint-Jory, France.
The project in Saint-Jory involves the renovation, extension, refurbishment, and retrofit of the central kitchen and school restaurant at the Georges Brassens School Group. Commissioned by the city of Saint-Jory, France, the renovation and refurbishment phases will reorganise and modernise approximately 240m² of existing kitchen and technical areas alongside 340m² of dining space to improve workflow and user experience. The project also aims for an extension adding around 370m² to increase meal production capacity to about 1.3k meals per day, supporting both on-site dining and cold-chain delivery. Its also expecterd from the design, retrofit measures that will enhance energy performance, ventilation, and technical systems, ensuring compliance with contemporary environmental standards while retaining the site’s educational catering function. This comprehensive transformation seeks to deliver a more efficient, sustainable, and functional public facility that supports the growing needs of the Saint-Jory community.
