Architectural Competition for the design of a new Youth Entrepreneurship and Vocational Training Centre in the Pathos municipality, Greece.
The project concerns the construction of a new building with a total net area of 650 sqm, in the parish of Agios Theodoros, in Paphos. In addition, the reuse of a listed building with a total net area of 2,274 sqm, to be restored externally and internally. In addition, there is a requirement to provide for direct pedestrian access to the Karavela parking area. All of these should, through the design, form a single architectural and functional whole.

Submission Criteria
For their participation in the Study Group, the Researchers must meet the following requirements concerning their technical and professional abilities: an architect with at least ten (10) years of experience and who has completed in the last ten (10) years the architectural study and supervision of a project with buildings that include shared/public uses, worth at least 4 million or two projects worth at least 2 million each. In addition, to have implemented the architectural study and supervision of a project that includes the restoration of a preserved building with a value of at least 600,000.00 or two preserved buildings with a value of at least 300,000.00 each.
The consultant team must also demonstrated related levels of project experience.
The design proposal “raft” will comprise 6xA1 sheets, with the following content:
– Central Idea and General spatial planning on a scale of 1:200 or 1:500
– Plans, elevations and at least 2 sections of all levels of the buildings at a scale of 1:200, in which the use of all spaces according to the building plan, as well as the fixed and mobile furniture, can be clearly seen
– At least four (4) three-dimensional presentations of the proposal, including at least one panoramic view
– Drawings and sketches that explain elements of the study and the rationale of the proposal in the clearest way possible
– Presentation plans of the bioclimatic, energy approach and planning
Copies of plates in A3 paper: All tenderers are required to submit their six (6) basic proposal presentation plates in miniature on A3 size paper, bound in paper, in 5 copies. In the same issue, with an area schedule.
